Membership of a Lions Club is by invitation but all Clubs welcome new members so if you would like to help us in our work, please contact your local Lions Club and they will take it from there.

When it comes to serving our local community there is no better way of doing it than through a Lions Club. If you are interested in helping others, we have a project that will allow you to achieve this.

  • We help the young and the old.

  • We help the blind and the sighted.

  • While most of our work is focussed on our local communities, we have many Third World projects.

  • We have Environmental Projects

  • And much more…….

Is it all about Fund Raising?

No, it is all about Service to others! Some people are great to sell tickets and others could not give them away free. That’s fine with us as every Club has a mixture of talents and provided you want to help we  will find a way of using your talents.

Your Commitment:

These days most people are very busy in their day to day lives. Our Club meeting are help once a month and most would only take a little over an hour. You would be expected to attend the monthly meeting and also to get involved in the work of the Club. You will be surprised how much you will enjoy the fun and friendship in being a Lion.

The Cost:

Perhaps the most fundamental principle of Lionism is that EVERY CENT we raise from the public goes to our projects and causes. Not a single cent is taken out to run the Club. All administration costs of our organisation are paid by a membership fee. This is, on average between €65 & €80 a year. This is far less that the price of a one coffee a week!

How do I Join?

There are a number of ways. You can search our database to find your local Lions Club to let them know that you would like to join. You might even know one of your local Lions. If so, just have a chat with him or her. They will be delighted to help you. If you prefer, please just complete the form on this web site and we will pass it on to the Club nearest to you.

We need you!

We really do need more members to help us in our work. We are seeking men and women who want to serve others. Once you are an adult, whether starting a career or retired and seeking ways to spend your time productively, we would welcome you with open arms into Lionism.

Start a New Lions Club:

If there isn’t a Lions Club in your town and you would like to get more information regarding starting a new one, we will do everything we can to help  and guide you.

Success! Message received.
